Orthomosiacs

An orthomosaic combines many high detail photos into one large product by stitching together the source images, but also adjusts the final product for scale differences and angle.  Much more information can be derived from an proper orthomosiac than a single photo.

View the entire roof of an equestrian arena or factory. To the right is such a mosaic.  You can see where snow drifts or where water pools.

Zoom into the mosaic

Orthomosaics preserve the high detailed resolution of the individual photographs.  Here the orthomosaic from the above home can be zoomed into reveal details of the pool plumbing.  Need more detail, that can be planned into the product by flying lower or using a different sensor (camera/lens)
